I grew up sitting on my dad's lap watching Georgia Bulldog football games and trying to mimic dad's golf swing when watched Bobby Jones instructional videos. So I guess you can say, I learned to love sports as soon as I could hold a golf club. Truth be told, my whole family loves sports. Example A: I once got phone calls from my parents asking me to be the judge in their argument on who should win the Heisman. People always ask me how I got such a passion for sports, and I blame it all on my family.
I was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but I consider myself a Texas gal. My family moved to Dallas when I was 10, and they still live there. Needless to say, I am a Cowboys fan. However, recent years have taught me to lower expectations....
When I was a teenager, I knew wanted to be in broadcasting. I used to shadow my godfather who was an anchor at WFAA in Dallas. I would sit at home with the closed captioning on and try to read the sentences like a teleprompter. So after high school, I decided to follow my dream and get my broadcast degree from the University of Missouri. I am an avid Mizzou fan- Welcome to the SEC Tigers!!!
As they say- the rest is history! After college I moved to Charlottesville, Virginia. Then headed to Knoxville, where I covered the Vols for six seasons. In 2013, I got to check off one of my career goals. I was hired as a sideline reporter for the NFL and SEC. It's been an incredible ride, and I am so blessed to have a career I love so much.
In my free time, you can usually find me on the tennis courts or out running. In recent years, I've developed a love for cooking, however, I should warn you that it is a work in progress!
